Jewell Hill

 Jewell Hill, Ashby, Massachusetts

What a name !!!
The word jewel may stem from Latin jocus, that which causes joy.

A serene piece of woodland,
 where plants paint and sculpt,
and the leaves descend in twists and turns. On their way to earth.

Sublime to watch and feel the rhythm of their dance, hoping that one will land on my hand.

  Rustling along the pathways...

Jewell Hill : ... that which causes joy...

Jewell Hill : ... under canopy...

Jewell Hill : ... where leaves are caught into the hemlock's labyrinths..

Jewell Hill : ... and there is a view...

Jewell Hill : ... with Boston on the horizon...

Jewell Hill : ... and there is a pause...

Jewell Hill : ... a painted quietude...

Jewell Hill : ... where stories are written by the sun...

Jewell Hill : ... and each leaf matters...

Jewell Hill : ... rustling along the pathways...

Jewell Hill : ... in harmony...

Jewell Hill : ... with each other...

Jewell Hill : ... where are the squirrels ?...

Jewell Hill : ... enchanting wilderness...

Jewell Hill : ... of all-inclusive living...

Jewell Hill : ... with the touch-ups of human directives...

Jewell Hill : ... always special...

Jewell Hill : ... looking far, far into distance...
