Without much rain for some time.
Tangled ponds,
   in the twilight of colors and motions.

Wood Ducks are hard to see.
  They come here for the summer,
    find their homes in overgrown swampy ponds,
  where lilies like to settle and bloom at the same time.

I wonder how it may feel to be in their place?

 Obscured by the bushes.
 Relaxing on the fallen tree trunk.
 Floating in silence, through reflections.

All is so close to the eyes and touch.

   Must be a paradise...

And Then we See Them !!!

    Wood Ducks !!! FINALLY !!!

  I have read about them, have seen their pictures
    but, in miles of walks through their swampy habitats, have never seen them...

  Their divine looks enticing my dreams of spotting them one day, by chance.
      And IT happened!
    Among the grasses where they can hide well but, this time,
     they show-up and flood the moment with delight...
