The Revelation of a Moment

 Rocky Woods, Medfield, Massachusetts

So near is man to the creative pageant, so
much a part is he of the endless and incredible experiment,
that any glimpse he may have will be but the revelation of a moment,
a solitary note heard in a symphony
thundering through debatable existence of time.

Rocky Woods

Rocky Woods, Medfield, Massachusetts

Lovely walk among rocks...

Reminds me of the Arctic past of this land.
When the glaciers came and went, leaving the tough ones behind.

And not much else...

Hard to see how it all looked back then, but today,
the rocks are still HERE in all their strength and splendor,

sculpting such a noble, life-giving wonder...

Rocky Woods: ... among rocks...

Rocky Woods: ... with the smile...

Rocky Woods: ... from the very first days...

Rocky Woods: ... with the echoes of Arctic past...

Rocky Woods: ... in the company of sculpted characters...

Rocky Woods: ... and living steeps...

Rocky Woods: ... such a noble, life-giving wonder...

Rocky Woods: ... felicitously...

Rocky Woods: ... undulating...

Rocky Woods: ... stepping...

Rocky Woods: ... hard to see how it all looked back then...

Rocky Woods: ... but today, the rocks are alive, in all their splendor...

Rocky Woods: ... through time...

Lily Pond

Echo Pond, Rocky Woods, Medfield, Massachusetts

The pond is in bloom.
One of those shallow waters that attract water lilies... close to the soil, close to the sun...
Circling over the surface... and all those roseate petals make me stay still...

I take a step... a frog hops into the water...

Echo Pond: ... the pond is in bloom...

Echo Pond: ... one of those that attract water lilies...

Echo Pond: ... circling over the surface...

Echo Pond: ... and stay still...

Echo Pond: ... while the eyes move...

Echo Pond: ... from flower to flower...

Echo Pond: ... and stay still...

Echo Pond: ... on this pond...
