Closing the Circle

Great Head and Sand Beach, Acadia National Park

...millions of water droplets... the reds excelling in scattered light... another look at the Ocean...
...the time to leave this place...

Great Head: ... millions of water droplets...

Great Head: ... excelling in scattered light...

Great Head: ... another look...

Great Head: ... the time to leave...

Great Head: ... in the forest...

Great Head: ... healthy living...

Great Head: ... in this world of water droplets...

Great Head: ... and ferns...

Sand Beach: ... and mist...

Sand Beach: ... closing the circle on the sand...

The Time to Listen

Great Head, Acadia National Park

... roaring, crashing, splashing... coming through the woods... I know and love these sounds...
... a pathway brings me closer...

Great Head: ... a pathway brings me closer...

Great Head: ... among the rocks...

Great Head: ... to watch and listen...

Great Head: ... to the rolling sounds...

Great Head: ... of thunders...

Great Head: ... and splashes...

Great Head: ... and crashes...

Great Head: ... in my eyes and ears...

The World Beyond Waves

Great Head, Acadia National Park

... into the misty forest... attentively splashing water with my boots... the moisture is pervasive and so deeply ingrained here... lichens attached to the branches... this space feels like a festival... in form, in color, in life...  then the cliffs open-up and here it is, roaring Ocean...  the harshness of the Ocean and gentle Forest... how can these two live so close?... yet, they do...

Great Head: ... into the misty forest...

Great Head: ... ascending...

Great Head: ... leaving Sand Beach below...

Great Head: ... attentively...

Great Head: ... lichens attached to the branches...

Great Head: ... the moisture is pervasive...

Great Head: ... and so deeply ingrained...

Great Head: ... feels like a festival...

Great Head: ... in form, in color, in life...

Great Head: ... then the cliffs open-up...

Great Head: ... and here it is... roaring...

Great Head: ... the harshness of the ocean...

Great Head: ... and gentle forest... how can these two live so close?...

Great Head: ... yet, they do...
