A young deer has just crossed our pathway...
   stops and looks at us in wonder, no fear in her eyes, only questions...
 
      and then she leaves in soundless elegance...  

Point of Return

Swallows raise their young on this beach. Enough sand to build nests, enough food for everyone...
  Coming in late spring, dispersing over grassy dunes
     until late summer,
    when they conjoin for the long journey to warm winters... 

  Have a good flight and come back again !!! 

Living Meadow

Being close to a meadow at this time of year,
  with the butterfly flutter attuned to the summer aromas...
 
  and I find myself in the midst of this busy world, just watching... 

Silky Crest

Resting on the branch... this silky attire of yellows, browns, grays,
         with red drops on the wings and the yellow on the tips of the tail... the crest and the mask...

    in perfect harmony with the lake...

  trees are reflected off puddles making this muddy pathway a scenic aquarelle...
   I can feel water in the reply from nature... everywhere...

Tully Lake brochure says that the trails are opened year round unless flooded...
