Lovely walk among rocks...
Reminds me of the Arctic past of this land.
When the glaciers came and went, leaving the tough ones behind.
And not much else...
Hard to see how it all looked back then, but today,
the rocks are still HERE in all their strength and splendor,
sculpting such a noble, life-giving wonder...

and the flurry of crystals billows around my boots,
but not this time,
still...
It is winter and I am HERE,
amidst the brown shades, glowing beech leaves, brightly colored mosses,
and the low Sun, always close, like a friend,
with the shadows that come along to enrich...

Once the curving, twisting and gliding motions become shapes,
seal the air in mini globes, and
the leaves make me see
how alike are the contours of life and water and why I love them so much...
