They make me ponder the depths of forms and colors,
wondering
in all that water and light bring together.

Here they are.
The trail is non-passable.
Lots of water, lots of trees, the resolve, the know-how.
And the new world appears.
Looks messy.
But there must be an order beneath these branches.
To the beaver's liking...

Sunny, well below freezing.
Dusty snow crystals sparkle along the way,
deep, cold breaths refresh.
Noanet flows unruffled,
some frozen jumps showing here and there to attract the eyes.
Wintery quiet.
With these tiny birds, all in motion between the stops to pick up seeds.
And the lively marks, winking...

Noanet is at the center of these woodlands, such as a spine of the living body.
In the early 19th century, the brook was dammed into the chain of ponds,
helping humans rotate the waterwheel of the iron mill.
The whole venture had stopped soon enough and
Noanet came through, flashing away almost all the remnants
except for the ponds, which have enriched ecology of the place.
Flowing, burbling, and telling stories...
