A Day to See Trees

Snowing…
 Is it really TRUE ?

 YES, 
   
 and this place shows how the winter feels when snow crystals come for a visit. 

Secretively

Brewster's Woods, Concord, Massachusetts
 
Wood Ducks are hard to see.
  They come here for the summer,
    find their homes in overgrown swampy ponds,
  where lilies like to settle and bloom at the same time.

I wonder how it may feel to be in their place?

 Obscured by the bushes.
 Relaxing on the fallen tree trunk.
 Floating in silence, through reflections.

All is so close to the eyes and touch.

   Must be a paradise...

Searching for the Spring

Brewster's Woods, Concord, Massachusetts

Cool and windy, bundled-up.

Chirps and flirts delight, as the waking songs amidst the browns.

And then there is this water, lots of water,
   in the ponds,
    with young lilies coming through,
  and Canadiens enjoying splashing it around.
 
 A single swan at peace... 

This is life

Brewster's Woods Wildlife Sanctuary, Massachusetts   

Sparkling Concord is well over her banks.
  The trees are in water up to their knees, leafing and flowering. Ready to endure. 
    I guess, this comes with the territory; if I cannot move, I stay and adapt.

  Being a tree. Close to the river.

  Birds still come and perch on my branches.
   Small islets below look like safe places to build nests.
    
  Some of the water comes as a present to close-by ponds and their turtles.
    Where swans find it perfect to start their family.

    All alive and well...
