About There

Great Brook Farm State Park, Carlisle, Massachusetts

Jovial chirps from deep in the branches.
I can see the yellow, about there.
   Yes

  they are here
to bring the sunny warmth to our cool days,
   and
  announce the coming summer...

Great Brook: ... see the yellow, about there...

Great Brook: ... yes...

Great Brook: ... they are here...

Great Brook: ... to bring the sunny warmth to our cool days, and...

Great Brook: ... announce the coming summer...

Sunflowers

Foss Farm, Carlisle, Massachusetts

 Oozing warmth from shiny yellows.
   From flower to flower.

Goldfinch zigzags, picking seeds, with a brief stop in a leafy hideout.
The bees are all dusty but carry on, resolutely.

 These petals...

and another Goldfinch, pulls out the seed, waits for a bit, and flies away.

      The flowers salute...

Golden Moments

Fresh Pond, Cambridge, Massachusetts

Thistles belong to the class of noxious weeds as defined by humans.
Why is it so ? Very SIMPLE reason.
They tend to invade the space where OUR plants grow. The plants we use for food.

Never mind that it is a plant that gives food to butterflies, all kinds of bees, and Goldfinches.
Passing by a bunch of thistles gives me an idea of value that these beings attach to the plant.

   See them, hear them.

Feel the buzzing energy, passion and joviality of the moment...

Fresh Pond: ... golden moments...
