Awaken

Rocky Hill, Groton, Massachusetts

Along leafy wings.

  Through breaths of the moments,

    into the world of clouds.

 Stop,

  observe,

and listen to the songs of spring...

Rocky Hill: … outgoing…

Rocky Hill: … secretive…

Rocky Hill: … mirroring…

Rocky Hill: … along leafy wings…

Rocky Hill: … terraced above the pond…

Rocky Hill: … through breaths…

Rocky Hill: … and stepping stones…

Rocky Hill: … of the moments…

Rocky Hill: … that build upon each other…

Rocky Hill: … over there…

Rocky Hill: … by the way of these eyes…

Rocky Hill: … into the world of clouds…

Rocky Hill: … stop…

Rocky Hill: … observe…

Rocky Hill: … and listen…

Rocky Hill: … to the songs of spring…

MAIA

Adams Woods, Concord, Massachusetts

Walking through the spring renewal.
 Young leaves all around,
up-there in the crowns, midway to the touch, close to my boots.

Everywhere...

The beauty of growth suffuses breaths, coming to be a part of my body.

And to be right here, in this moment
 makes me perceive
the players that sustain the life on this planet...

Adams Woods: ... through the spring renewal...

Adams Woods: ... young leaves all around...

Adams Woods: ... up-there in the crowns...

Adams Woods: ... midway to the touch...

Adams Woods: ... close to my boots...

Adams Woods: ... everywhere...

Adams Woods: ... the beauty of growth...

Adams Woods: ... suffuses breaths...

Adams Woods: ... coming to be a part of my body...

Adams Woods: ... and to be right here...

Adams Woods: ... at this moment...

Adams Woods: ... makes me perceive the players that sustain the life on this planet...

Amidst Burbles

Adams Woods, Concord, Massachusetts

Early spring comes with burbles and plants that love water.
Trees are still asleep
  and
those lowest personas, close to earth, enjoy open sunlight.

  Gentle steps...

Adams Woods: ... so comes...

Adams Woods: ... early spring...

Adams Woods: ... with burbles...

Adams Woods: ... and all that love water...

Adams Woods: ... unrolling...

Adams Woods: ... into the sun...

Adams Woods: ... enjoy...

Adams Woods: ... those gentle steps...

Adams Woods: ... into the sounds...

Adams Woods: ... of attraction...

Making IT Through

 Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary, Massachusetts

The meadows where Bobolinks come each spring to raise their families.
While other birds find their ways through flowering thickets.

A deer sees us and takes off. How graceful !!

The Indians and Colonists had lived off of this piece of land for a long time.
The place where a river comes to meet with the Ocean.
High tides used to push the river back, making some parts unsuitable for farming.

So, in 1872, the farmers pressed for the project to build a dike to prevent the Ocean moving inland.
And this was the dawn of these meadows.
Born out of human willpower, they have become living homes of all those who need them for survival.

  Bobolinks send their thanks...

Daniel Webster: ... the springtime...

Daniel Webster: ... through young leaves...

Daniel Webster: ... glimpses...

Daniel Webster: ... flowers...

Daniel Webster: ... how graceful...

Daniel Webster: ... and spacious...

Daniel Webster: ... where one can pick seeds...

Daniel Webster: ... find a hideout among leaves...

Daniel Webster: ... or grasses...

Daniel Webster: ... of the meadows...

Daniel Webster: ... echoing spring calls...

Daniel Webster: ... from flower to flower...

Daniel Webster: ... secretly...

Daniel Webster: ... touching petals...

Daniel Webster: ... of the meadows...

Daniel Webster: ... where bobolinks come to raise their families...

Daniel Webster: ... and send their thanks...
