And So IT Passed

Cambridge, Massachusetts

Our Arctic night,
leaving frosty windows to open-up new worlds
  where I can take wings
      and arise in faraway forests.

Cambridge: ... leaving frosty windows...

Cambridge: ... to open-up new worlds...

Cambridge: ... where I can take wings...

Cambridge: ... and arise...

Cambridge: ... in faraway forests...

In Defrosting Mode

Fells Reservation, Massachusetts

Deep freeze had lasted... and passed. It is warm, above 10°C (50°F). And the Sun makes it feel like Spring. Fells is in Defrosting Mode. Streams dissolving their ice-coats. Burbling vivaciously...  Translucent sculptures holding onto the rocks... Mosses are waking-up. Quickly absorbing water from the snow. Opening their teeny leaves to the Sun. Infusing the forest with bright tints of life... Lichens and Fungi refreshed. Tree Buds tightly closed... No, Trees will not be duped into the idea that this Winter is over.

Fells: ... in defrosting mode...

Fells: ... holding onto the rocks...

Fells: ... water and the Sun... lift Spirits...

Fells: ... and infuse the forest with tints of Life...

Fells: ... ways...

Fells: ... artfully softened...

Fells: ... and sprinkled...

Fells: ... sparkles dripping...

Fells: ... refreshing...

Fells: ... dissolving...

Fells: ... tightly closed... this Winter is not over...
