and each atom shines in the Sun's energy bursts...

Winter is snow, icicles, frost...
all about frozen sparkles, at least in my mind.
But this season, she is nowhere, almost nowhere to be found.
So, we've packed ourselves to look up Rutland, hoping for a little winter...

Bright greens, perfect young leaves mingle in the flourish of woods.
Insects are buzzing around, butterflies, dragonflies, and, yes,
mosquitoes... We've gotten few bites and a feel-better thought comes to mind:
these ladies need our blood to feed their young.
The way of nature, life needs life to live...
except for plants,
they make food from the Sun and Earth, not a drop of blood spilled...
and, perhaps, this is why I love them so much, they make me forget...

as if being the center of attraction...
Hopping over boulders left by glaciers millennia earlier,
brings water to this wildlife commune
and yes...
everyone listens and revels in the sounds and bubbles, and shares this energy along...
