Rejoining

Crane Beach, Ipswich, Massachusetts

Is it the last leaf ?

The distance comes closer on the wings.
  Sea Ducks are back...

Crane Beach: ... is it the last leaf ?...

Crane Beach: ... the distance...

Crane Beach: ... comes closer on the wings...

Crane Beach: ... to rejoin those that call this place home...

Crane Beach: ... feels good...

Crane Beach: ... to be a part of a group...

Crane Beach: ... in this windy place...

Crane Beach: ... bundled up...

Crane Beach: ... hanging together...

Crane Beach: ... growing winter clothes...

Crane Beach: ... to remain...

Crane Beach: ... in the midst of footprints...

Crane Beach: ... always young...

Crane Beach: ... with the note...

Crane Beach: ... to those who return...

Autumnal Living

Estabrook Woods, Concord, Massachusetts

Wondrous, glowing...

Without much rain for some time.
Tangled ponds,
in the twilight of colors and motions.

 Serene...

Estabrook Woods: ... watching...

Estabrook Woods: ... autumn colors...

Estabrook Woods: ... with the eyes...

Estabrook Woods: ... of glowing leaves...

Estabrook Woods: ... the self-assured...

Estabrook Woods: ... calmness...

Estabrook Woods: ... in this piece of paradise...

Estabrook Woods: ... playfully...

Estabrook Woods: ... observing...

Estabrook Woods: ... the spirits of tangled ponds...

Estabrook Woods: ... in the twilight of colors and motions...

Estabrook Woods: ... with the markings...

Estabrook Woods: ... of the eyes...

Estabrook Woods: ... on the fallen leaves...

Cold Water

Halibut Point State Park, Cape Ann, Massachusetts

The ocean is dotted with these teeny beings.
 Sea ducks,
  in high spirits,
and consonant in motion with the blue.

They come from the frozen North and winter on this spot, day and night in this cold water.
  How can they survive ?

Perfectly adapted, no worries over here...

Halibut Point: ... the ocean is dotted with these teeny beings...

Halibut Point: ... Harlequins...

Halibut Point: ... they come from the frozen north and winter on this spot...

Halibut Point: ... day and night in this cold water...

Halibut Point: ... never touch the coast...

Halibut Point: ... consonant...

Halibut Point: ... in motion...

Halibut Point: ... and a silent pause...

Halibut Point: ... with the blue...

Halibut Point: ... feel like an outsider ?...

Halibut Point: ... perhaps...

Halibut Point: ... day and night in this cold water...

Halibut Point: ... how can they survive ?...

Halibut Point: ... no worries over here...

Here Again

 Crane Beach, Ipswich, Massachusetts

This is the time of year when sea ducks come to winter in the mouth of Parker River.
  Always in motion,
and in harmony with the rising and ebbing of tides.

The ocean brings food but also enables them to live in their own skin,
on this very edge of water and land.

    Out there...

Crane Beach : ... here again...

Crane Beach : ... this time of year...

Crane Beach : ... when sea ducks come...

Crane Beach : ... to winter in the mouth of Parker River...

Crane Beach : ... in harmony with the rising and ebbing of tides...

Crane Beach : ... always in motion...

Crane Beach : ... living in their own skin...

Crane Beach : ... out there...

Crane Beach : ... with the sea...
